A musical instrument and a method which retunes and adjusts volumes in response to the chord being sustained and the way that chord is voiced. The instrument is capable of producing tones, the intervals between which are equal tempered intervals of a twelve note octave, and tones, the intervals between at least some of which are determined by identifying at least selected ones of the notes the instrument is being commanded to produce. The method includes identifying the at least selected ones of the notes the instrument is being commanded to produce, providing a map for mapping the identified notes to a chord type, identifying a note in that chord type, and substituting a frequency closer to a harmonic of the identified note for the frequency of at least one harmonic of at least one other note the instrument is being commanded to produce.
L'invention concerne un instrument de musique et un procédé qui permettent de reprendre un accord et de régler des volumes en fonction de l'accord tenu et de la manière dont celui-ci est voisé. L'instrument peut produire des sons présentant des intervalles tempérés égaux d'une octave à douze notes, et au moins quelques sons dont les intervalles sont déterminés par identification d'au moins quelques notes choisies parmi celles qu'il est demandé à l'instrument de produire. Le procédé consiste à identifier lesdites notes choisies demandées à l'instrument, à établir une carte pour transposer les notes identifiées par rapport à un type d'accord, à identifier une note dans ce type d'accord, et à remplacer une fréquence plus proche d'une harmonique de la note identifiée par la fréquence d'au moins une harmonique d'au moins une autre note qu'il est demandé à l'instrument de produire.
