The present invention relates to absorbent members in absorbent cores for absorbent articles, which are intended to receive and retain bodily discharges such as urine. Such articles are disposable hygiene articles like baby diapers, training pants, adult incontinence articles, feminine care articles and the like. The improvement essentially is based on the recognition that replacing most or all of the cushioning fibrous absorbent material in an absorbent core by a liquid storage material capable of retaining liquid while maintaining or improving acquisition behavior is desirable as the reduction in cushioning is more than compensated by the gain in comfort. The absorbent core of the absorbent member comprises a swellable hydrogel-forming polymer comprising in combination at least one hydrophilic polymer with dendritic structure and at least one water-insoluble phosphate.
L'invention concerne des éléments absorbants contenus dans des âmes absorbantes d'articles absorbants, destinés à recevoir et à retenir des écoulements corporels tels que l'urine. Ces articles sont des produits hygiéniques jetables tels que les couches pour bébé, les culottes de propreté, les articles pour l'incontinence adulte, les articles de protection féminine, etc. L'amélioration majeure réside dans le fait que le remplacement de tout ou partie de la matière absorbante fibreuse tampon dans le noyau absorbant par une matière de retenue de liquide capable de retenir le liquide tout en maintenant ou en améliorant le comportement d'acquisition est avantageux, car toute réduction dans le volume du tampon est largement compensée par le gain en confort. La fabrication de ces éléments et articles absorbants est rendue possible par la mise au point de nouvelles matières gel absorbantes hautement perméables, non utilisées à ce jour, et particulièrement capables d'attirer et de transporter les liquides à des concentrations élevées de polymères superabsorbants.
