ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed are variants of Humicola grisea Cel7A (CBH1.1), H. jecorina CBH1 variant or S. thermophilium CBH1, nucleic acids encoding the same and methods for producing the same. The variant cellulases have the amino acid sequence of a glycosyl hydrolase of family 7A wherein one or more amino acid residues are substituted.

L'invention concerne des variants de Cel7A (CBH1.1) d'Humicola grisea, un variant de CBH1 d'H. jecorina ou de CBH1 de S. thermophilium, des acides nucléiques codant ces derniers, ainsi que des méthodes de production associées. Les cellulases variantes possèdent la séquence d'acides aminés d'une glycosyle hydrolase de la famille 7A, dans laquelle au moins un résidu d'acide aminé est substitué.
