A method of manufacturing particles, especially nanoparticles, by way of precipitation from solution on a rotating surface (1) of a rotating surface reactor is disclosed. Nanoparticles with a tight size distribution may be manufactured in bulk and without the problems of agglomeration that are associated with traditional stirred-tank reactors. Use of a rotating surface reactor allows precipitation of nanoparticles from viscous, supersaturated solutions by way of homogeneous nucleation aided by strong micromixing.

La présente invention concerne un procédé destiné à la production de particules, notamment de nanoparticules, par précipitation à partir d'une solution sur une surface rotative (1) d'un réacteur à surface rotative. Selon l'invention, des nanoparticules ayant tune répartition de tailles étroite, peuvent être produites en vrac et sans problèmes d'agglomération liés aux réacteurs à réservoir à agitation traditionnels. L'utilisation d'un réacteur à surface rotative permet la précipitation des nanoparticules à partir de solutions visqueuses supersaturées, grâce à une nucléation homogène favorisée par un micro-mélange puissant.
