An improvement in the synthesis of diamond by a combustion method, in which diamond having a crystal grain size of not less than 1.5 mm is synthesized economically. A method having the steps of burying one or more seed crystal grains of diamond (2) in the surface of a substrate (1), and applying a combustion flame to the seed crystal grain of diamond (2) while cooling the substrate (1), so as to grow the seed crystal diamond (2), whereby one larger diamond grain can be obtained.
Amélioration dans la synthèse de diamants par une méthode de combustion, grâce à laquelle il est possible de synthétiser des diamants dont les cristaux ont une taille d'au moins 1,5 mm. Méthode consistant à enfouir un ou plusieurs germes de diamant (2) dans la couche superficielle d'un substrat (1), et à appliquer une flamme de combustion au germe de diamant (2), tout en refroidissant le substrat (1), de façon à faire croître ledit germe de diamant (2) et ainsi obtenir un diamant plus gros.
