A novel isolated Borrielia burgdorferi sensu lato surface antigen is characterized by a relative molecular mass of 39.5 kDa. This antigen is expressed in vitro by spirochetes of a B. burgdorferi sensu lato strain. This antigen induces antibodies which kill spirochetes of a B. burgdorferi sensu lato strain by ADCK in vitro. Novel Borrelia cassette string protein or fragments thereof are also useful, as is the P39.5 protein in diagnosing Lyme disease and in compositions for treatment or prophylaxis thereof.
Un nouvel antigène de surface senso lato isolé de Borrelia burgdorferi se caractérise par une masse moléculaire relative de 39,5 kDa. Cet antigène est exprimé in vitro par des spyrochètes d'une souche senso latu de B. burgdorferi. Cet antigène induit des anticorps qui tuent les spirochètes d'une souche sensu lato de B. burgdorferi par ADCK in vitro. Un nouvelle protéine à chaîne de cassettes de Borrelia ou des fragments de celle-ci sont également utiles, ainsi que la protéine P39.5, dans le diagnostic de la maladie de Lyme et dans des compositions pour le traitement ou la prophylaxie de cette dernière.
