ABSTRACT A cardboard or like container for liquids is made imper- meable by an internal coating of plastic, and has at least on one side a double-thickness wall portion the interior of which communi- cates with the interior of the container. The wall is provided with a cardboard tear strip, and at least one of the wall portions has a score-line with at least one weld seam adjacent to it. The wall portions are thereby welded together in a liquid-tight manner.
