The present invention relates to a shaped article comprising at least one peroxide curable compound comprising butyl-like polymer without any conjugated aliphatic dime in its composition, said polymer containing less than 15 wt.% of solid matter insoluble in boiling cyclohexane under reflux for 60 min. In another of its aspects, the present invention relates to a sealing material and a medical device comprising at least one peroxide-curable compound comprising a butyl-like polymer containing less than 15 wt.% of solid matter insoluble in boiling cyclohexane under reflux for 60 min. In still another of its aspects, the present invention relates to a process for producing a butyl-like polymer having no conjugated aliphatic dime in its composition and containing less than 15 wt.% of solid matter insoluble in boiling cyclohexane under reflux for 60 min. In still another of its aspects, the present invention relates to a process the manufacturing of the inventive compound wherein the elastomeric polymer is mixed with at least one filler and at least one peroxide curing system in a mixing means.
La présente invention porte sur un article façonné constitué d'au moins un composé durcissable à base de peroxyde comprenant un polymère de type butyle sans diène aliphatique conjugué dans sa composition, ledit polymère contenant moins de 15 % en poids de matière solide insoluble dans du cyclohexane en ébullition dans des conditions de reflux pendant 60 minutes. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la présente invention porte sur une matière adhésive et un dispositif médical comprenant au moins un composé durcissable à base de peroxyde constitué d'un polymère de type butyle contenant moins de 15 % en poids de matière solide insoluble dans du cyclohexane en ébullition dans des conditions de reflux pendant 60 min. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un polymère de type butyle ne comptant pas de diène aliphatique conjugué dans sa composition et constitué d'au moins 15 % en poids de matière solide insoluble dans du cyclohexane en ébullition en conditions de reflux pendant 60 minutes. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la présente invention porte sur un procédé de fabrication du composé en question dans lequel le polymère élastomère est mélangé avec au moins un produit de remplissage et au moins un système durcissable à base de peroxide dans un mélangeur.
