METHOD AND APPARATUS OF DISPENSING MULTIPLE BEADS OF VISCOUS LIQUID Abstract of the Disclosure A method and apparatus for dispensing multiple, closely spaced beads of viscous liquids such as hot melt thermoplastic adhesive is provided which comprises a dispensing device including a nozzle assembly having a nozzle body connected to a nozzle plate carrying a number of closely spaced nozzle tips. The nozzle body is formed with an internal adhesive flow passage terminating with an elongated distribu- tion channel having an outlet. A number of compara- tively small diameter discharge passageways are formed in the nozzle plate, each connected to one nozzle tip, and structure is provided for transferring the adhe- sive from the elongated distribution channel in the nozzle body into each of the discharge passageways, against the influence of gravity, for discharge from the nozzle tips as individual extruded beads.
