A flow regulator for controlling the flow of material from a container (12) is disclosed, wherein the container includes a container outlet (14) through which the material freely flows when the container outlet is not closed. The flow regulator is biased in a closed position, but is moveable to an open position to provide for material flow from the container. The flow regulator may be progressively moved to permit varying degrees of material flow as the opening in the container is progressively opened. The flow regulator provides both a closure to obstruct material flow and a seal to preserve the container contents from outside contamination or degradation. The flow regulator is disclosed in combination with a bulk bin container to form a novel dispensing mechanism.
L'invention concerne un régulateur de flux destiné à réguler le flux de substances s'écoulant depuis un récipient (12), ledit récipient comportant une sortie (14) à travers laquelle les substances s'écoulent librement lorsque ladite sortie n'est pas obturée. Le régulateur de flux est sollicité dans une position fermée mais peut être déplacé vers une position ouverte afin d'assurer l'écoulement des substances depuis le récipient. Le régulateur de flux peut être déplacé progressivement pour obtenir des degrés variables d'écoulement des substances à mesure que l'on ouvre progressivement l'ouverture faite dans le récipient. Le régulateur de flux comporte une fermeture pour bloquer l'écoulement des substances et un joint pour protéger le contenu du récipient contre la contamination ou la dégradation venant de l'extérieur. Le régulateur de flux décrit comporte un bac de stockage en vrac avec lequel il forme un nouveau mécanisme de distribution.
