A rotary amusement device comprises an elongate support member of circular cross-section having a first end adapted to rest on a support surface, such as the ground, or a playroom floor, with a second end being spaced from the support surface while the support member is maintained in a generally upright orientation. The support member is provided with an annular bearing fixed thereto, adjacent to, but spaced from the first end, and located remotely from the second end. A tubular rotary member having an inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the support member is mounted for free rotation upon the support member. The tubular rotary member is provided with a child supporting platform at one end thereof, which end is adapted to rest on the annular bearing to maintain the supporting platform in spaced relationship with the first end of the support member. The other end of the tubular member is spaced inwardly from the second end of the support member when the tubular member rests on the annular bearing, and the support member is disposed generally perpendicular to the support surface on which it rests.
