The invention alerts blind or blind/deaf individuals at street intersections that crossing may be safely accomplished. Improvement over current "feux sonores" replaces sounds with individual vibration units. Radio wave signals from a directional transmitter, mounted on traffic light standard activate a battery powered receiver, (with a manually operated on/off switch), mounted in/on the cane handle used by the impaired, which vibrates at different pre-set levels, alerting the user when it is safe to cross. Localized non-impaired persons will not be inconvienced by "feux sonore" sounds.
