A monopolar electrosurgical device suitable for cutting and/or coagulation of tissue is described. The device includes a trocar assembly (32) and a probe assembly (34). The trocar assembly (32) has an insulated portion (44) and a conductive guide portion (36). The conductive guide portion (36) defines a passage with the probe assembly (34) slidably received therein. The probe assembly (34) includes a conductive probe (54) with a proximal end and a distal end. Surrounding the probe (54) is an insulation layer (58) which extends from the distal end of the probe. Attached to the insulation layer (58) and also surrounding the probe (54) is a conductive shield (60). The conductive shield (60) is electrically connected to the conductive guide portion (36) of the trocar assembly (32).
L'invention porte sur un dispositif électrochirurgical monopolaire servant à sectionner ou coaguler des tissus et comprenant un trocart (32) et une sonde (34). Le trocart (32) comporte une partie isolée (44) et une partie conductrice de guidage (36). La partie conductrice de guidage (36) comporte un passage dans lequel peut coulisser la sonde (34). La sonde (34) comporte une sonde conductrice (54) avec extrémité proximale et extrémité distale. Une couche isolante (58) entourant la sonde (54) s'étend à partir de l'extrémité distale de la sonde. Un blindage conducteur (60) fixé à la couche isolante (58) entoure la sonde (54). Ledit blindage conducteur (60) est raccordé électriquement à la partie conductrice (36) de guidage du trocart (32).
