This invention pertains to pristine phenylpropyl- alkylsiloxanes consisting of mixtures of linear and cyclic siloxanes containing the structure Image and a method for their preparation. The pristine phenyl- propylalkylsiloxanes of the instant invention contain no detectable silicon hydride (-SiH), free organics (-C=C-) or free inorganics. Additionally, the pristine phenylpropyl- alkylsiloxanes of the instant invention are high refractive index organosilicone polymers.
