The present invention relates to methods of imprinting fish to be sensitized to an odorant so that modulation of the PVCR in the olfactory apparatus occurs, and then exposing the fish with the same odorant after transfer to seawater or freshwater. The present invention also includes methods of homing or attracting fish, as well as methods for repelling fish by modulating the expression and/or sensitivity of the PVCR in the olfactory apparatus of the fish.

L'invention concerne des procédés de mise en place d'empreinte perceptive chez un poisson consistant à le sensibiliser à une substance odorante de façon qu'il se produise une modulation du récepteur PVCR (récepteur de détection de cation polyvalent) dans l'appareil olfactif, et à lui présenter la même substance odorante après son transfert en eau de mer ou en eau douce. L'invention concerne aussi des procédés favorisant le retour ou l'attraction de poissons, ainsi que des procédés permettant de repousser les poissons par modulation de l'expression et/ou de la sensibilité du récepteur PVCR dans l'appareil olfactif du poisson.
