An utility lighter having a housing (12) with a handle (14) proximate a first end (16), a nozzle (18) proximate a second end (20) and an electrically conductive housing portion (51) disposed between the first and second ends. The second end includes first and second electrodes (60, 64) forming a spark gap proximate the nozzle. The first electrode is formed by the electrically conductive housing portion. An electric ignitor assembly (34) is connected to the housing for generating a spark. The ignitor assembly generates a voltage between first and second electrical contacts (48, 50) thereof. The first electrical contact is in contact with the electrically conductive housing portion and the second contact is electrically connected to the second electrode. An actuating assembly (38) is connected to the housing and dispenses fuel from a fuel supply (22) and activates the ignitor assembly.
Un allume-feu à usage général ayant un boîtier (12) avec une poignée (14) à proximité d'une première extrémité (16), une buse (18) à proximité d'une seconde extrémité (20) et une portion de boîtier conductrice d'électricité (51) disposée entre la première extrémité et la deuxième. La deuxième extrémité comporte une première électrode et une deuxième (60, 64) formant un intervalle d'étincelle à proximité de l'embout.
