A speaker device comprising an electrostatic emitter film (15) which is responsive to an applied variable voltage (13) to emit sonic output (11) based on a desired sonic signal, used in combination with at least a first foam member (20) having a forward face (21), an intermediate core section (22) and a rear face (23). The forward face (21) is composed of a composition having sufficient stiffness to support the electrostatic film (15) and includes conductive properties which enable application of a variable voltage to supply the desired sonic signal. The surface of the forward face (21) includes small cavities (26) having surrounding wall structure defining each cavity which terminates at contacting edges (27) approximately coincident with the forward face of the foam member. The film is applied to the forward face of the foam member and biased in direct contact with the contacting edges of the forward face.

Dispositif haut-parleur comportant un film émetteur électrostatique (15), qui réagit à l'application d'une tension variable (13) de façon à émettre un signal de sortie sonore (11) sur la base d'un signal sonore désiré et qui est utilisé en association avec au moins un premier élément en mousse (20), qui comprend une face avant (21), une partie âme intermédiaire (22) et une face arrière (23). La face avant (21), formée d'une composition ayant une rigidité suffisante pour supporter le film électrostatique (15), possède des propriétés conductrices qui permettent l'application d'une tension variable destinée à produire le signal sonore désiré. La surface de la face avant (21) comporte de petites cavités (26) entourées par une structure paroi définissant chaque cavité et se terminant au niveau de bords de contact (27) qui coïncident approximativement avec ladite face avant. Le film est appliqué sur la face avant de l'élément en mousse et placé en contact direct avec les bords de contact de ladite face avant.
