A conveyor chain consisting of metal chain links each having a rectangular conveying surface and a hinge loop system situated under the conveying surface, comprising a centrally located hinge loop on one side of the chain link and two spaced hinge loops located opposite thereto, the central loop being located between the spaced loops of an adjacent chain link and being connected therewith by means of a hinge pin, the central loop being capable of hinging freely about the hinge pin which is fitted in the spaced loops with a clamped fit. According to the invention, the loadability of the chain can be increased by at least 25% when the ratio between the width of the central loop and the sum of the widths of the two spaced loops is approximately 0.9 and when the total hinge width is in the range of 54 to 60 mm and the hinge pin diameter is between 6.15 and 6.55 mm.

Chaîne de transporteur, constituée de maillons de métal ayant une surface transporteuse rectangulaire sous laquelle se situe un système à boucles articulées comprenant une boucle articulée centrale sur un côté du maillon et, à l'opposé, deux boucles articulées espacées. La boucle centrale se situe entre les boucles espacées d'un maillon de chaîne contigu et est reliée à ce maillon par un axe d'articulation, fixé par serrage dans les boucles espacées, de sorte qu'elle puisse s'articuler autour de ce dernier. La présente invention permet d'augmenter la capacité de charge de la chaîne d'au moins 25 % lorsque le rapport entre la largeur de la boucle centrale et la somme des largeurs des deux boucles espacées est approximativement de 0:9 et lorsque la largeur totale de l'articulation se situe entre 54 et 60 mm et que le diamètre de l'axe d'articulation se situe entre 6,15 et 6,55 mm.
