The invention relates to a device for producing a metal strip (1) by continuous casting, using a casting machine (2) in which a slab (3), preferably a thin slab, is cast. At least one milling machine (4) is arranged in the direction of transport (F) of the slab (3) behind the casting machine (2). At least one surface of the slab (3), preferably two surfaces which are opposite to each other, can be milled in said milling device. According to the invention, in order to keep the temperature loss to a minimum when the slab is machined and/or processed, at least one milling cutter (5, 6) of the milling machine (4), preferably the entire milling machine (4), is arranged in a displaceable manner in the direction (Q) perpendicular to the direction of transport (F) of the slab (3). The invention also relates to a method for producing a metal strip.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant de produire une bande métallique (1) par coulée continue, au moyen d'une machine de coulée (2) dans laquelle une brame (3), de préférence une brame mince, est coulée. Au moins une fraiseuse (4) se trouve dans la direction de transport (F) de la brame (3) au-delà de la machine de coulée (2). Au moins une surface de la brame (3), de préférence deux surfaces opposées, peuvent être fraisées dans ladite fraiseuse. Afin de minimiser les pertes thermiques lors du traitement ou de l'usinage de la brame, au moins une fraise (5, 6) de la fraiseuse (4), de préférence toute la fraiseuse (4), est montée de manière à pouvoir se déplacer dans une direction (Q) transversale à la direction de transport (F) de la brame (3). Cette invention concerne également un procédé permettant de produire une bande métallique.
