A feature parameter of a glittering material used in a color paint the composition of which is unknown is visually extracted. An image database is searched with the extracted feature parameter as a keyword. The image of the nearest single-component glittering material is displayed on a monitor. By comparing the image of the color paint the composition of which is unknown with the image of the single-component glittering material, the type of the glittering material used for the unknown-component glittering material is identified.

La présente invention concerne l'extraction visuelle d'un paramètre d'une substance brillante se trouvant dans une peinture colorée dont la composition est inconnue. Une recherche est faite dans une base de données d'image, le paramètre extrait servant de mot clé. L'image de la substance brillante à composant unique la plus proche est affichée sur un moniteur. La comparaison de l'image de la peinture colorée de composition inconnue avec l'image de la substance brillante à composant unique permet d'identifier le type de substance brillante utilisée pour la substance brillante à composant unique inconnu.
