A device for transmitting digital data which is provided with a converting block (4B/5B CONVERTER AND ARB. SIGNAL CONVERTER) (3) which functions not only as a 4-bit/5-bit converting means that performs 4-bit/5-bit conversion on data, but also as an arbitration signal converting means that assigns to arbitration signals 5-bit symbols other than those assigned to the data in the course of the 4-bit/5-bit conversion, whereby the device can transmit and receive arbitration signals and packet data as 5-bit code data. Since the device is also provided with scramble blocks (SCRAMBLE1 and SCRAMBLE2) (4A and 4B) and descramble blocks (DESCRAMBLE1 and DESCRAMBLE2) (5a and 5B) between the above converting block (3) and each of input and output ports, the device can prevent unnecessary radiation on a transmission line.

L'invention concerne un dispositif pour la transmission de données numériques, équipé d'un bloc convertisseur (CONVERTISSEUR 4 bits/5 bits ET CONVERTISSEUR DE SIGNAUX D'ARBITRAGE) (3) fonctionnant non seulement comme convertisseur 4 bits/5 bits sur données, mais encore comme convertisseur de signaux d'arbitrage qui affecte à ces signaux des symboles à 5 bits autres que ceux affectés aux données en cours de conversion 4 bits/5 bits, moyennant quoi le dispositif peut transmettre et recevoir des signaux d'arbitrage et des paquets de données sous forme de données de code à 5 bits. Ayant par ailleurs des blocs embrouilleurs (EMBROUILLEUR1 et EMBROUILLEUR2) (4a et 4b) et des blocs désembrouilleurs (DESEMBROUILLEUR1 et DESEMBROUILLEUR2) (5a et 5b) entre le bloc convertisseur (3) et chacune des bornes d'entrée et de sortie, le dispositif permet d'éviter les rayonnements superflus sur une ligne de transmission.
