A process for producing vinyl chloride monomer where significant quantities of both ethane and ethylene in input streams to the affiliated reactor where hydrogen chloride in the reactor effluent is essentially fully recovered from the reactor effluent in the first unit operation after the ethane/ethylene-to- vinyl reaction step or stage. Steps are presented of oxydehydro-chlorination catalytic reaction of ethane, ethylene, hydrogen chloride, oxygen, and chlorine; quenching the reactor effluent stream to provide a raw product stream having essentially no hydrogen chloride; and separation of the raw product stream into a vinyl chloride monomer product stream and into a lights stream; and recycling the lights steam to the reactor.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de chlorure de vinyle monomère consistant à introduire d'importantes quantités à la fois d'éthane et d'éthylène dans le réacteur associé, où le chlorure d'hydrogène dans l'effluent du réacteur est essentiellement récupéré dans son intégralité à partir dudit effluent dans la première opération unitaire, après la réaction de conversion de l'éthane/éthylène en vinyle. L'invention concerne les étapes de la réaction catalytique d'oxydéshydrochloration de l'éthane, l'éthylène, le chlorure d'hydrogène, l'oxygène et le chlore ; de refroidissement rapide du flux de l'effluent du réacteur en vue de l'obtention d'un flux de produit brute pratiquement exempt de chlorure d'hydrogène ; de séparation du flux de produit brut en un flux de produit monomère de chlorure de vinyle et un flux de produits légers ; et de recyclage de ce flux de produits légers vers le réacteur.
