An eye shield attachment can be used in combination with a safety helmet (10). This helmet has a front brim (12) continuous with a rim (14) extending along each opposite side of the safety helmet to a pair of rim slots (16) in the helmet's rim. The attachment has a pair of frames (22) that can removably attach to the pair of rim slots in the helmet. The frames each have a fastening member (26) that is lockable onto a corresponding one of the rim slots and adjustable to accommodate various depths in the rim slots. A support structure attached to the pair of frames extends along the rim toward the front brim, A front lens (18) and corrective glasses (76) may be attached to the support structure. A pliable bead (80) may be attached to the front of the support structure and extend rearwardly to engage a wearer's forehead.
L'invention concerne une fixation de protection des yeux pouvant être utilisée conjointement avec un casque de sécurité (10). Ce casque présente un bord avant (12) formé en continu avec un rebord (14) s'étendant le long de chaque côté opposé du casque de sécurité jusqu'à une paire de fentes de rebord (16) dans le rebord du casque. La fixation présente une paire de cadres (22) qui peuvent être fixés de façon amovible à la paire de fentes de rebord dans le casque. Les cadres présentent chacun un élément d'attache (26) pouvant être verrouillé sur une fente de rebord correspondante et réglable afin de recevoir différentes profondeurs dans les fentes de rebord. Une structure de support fixée à la paire de cadres s'étend le long du rebord vers le bord avant. Une lentille avant (18) et des verres correcteurs (76) peuvent être fixés à la structure de support.
