A hammer, referred to as the "Maple Leaf Hammer", that enables one handed operation of hammering procedures. The nail is contained in an incorporated holding device on top of the hammer so that no hand is needed to hold the nail. The hammering is accomplished in a normal manner. The one handed operation of this hammer has the advantage of reaching work locations as far as 5 feet from the operator. This distance is unreachable when two hands are used. This invention is to become a standard feature, just as the claws of a hammer are common for pulling the nails.
