~A positron emission tomography (PET) device using a .gamma.-ray detector consisting of a scintillator and a photodetector, characterized in that a perovskite type organic/inorganic hybrid compound represented by a general formula (R1-NR113)2MX4, or (R2=NR122)2MX4, or (NR133-R3-NR133)MX4, or (NR142=R4=NR142)MX4, or AMX3 is used as the scintillator~. Since a scintillator having a response speed as high as about 10-10 sec is used, a time-of-flight type PET can be implemented.

Dispositif de tomographie par émission de positrons (PET) mettant en application un détecteur de rayons X constitué par un scintillateur et par un photodétecteur. Ce scintillateur consiste en un composé hybride organique/inorganique de type perovskite représenté par une des formules (R?1¿-NR?11¿¿3?)¿2?MX¿4? ou (R?2¿=NR?12¿¿2?)¿2?MX¿4? ou (NR?13¿¿3?-R?3¿-NR?13¿¿3?)MX¿4? ou (NR?14¿¿2?=R?4¿=NR?14¿¿2?)MX¿4? ou AMX¿3?. Etant donné qu'on utilise un scintillateur possédant une vitesse de réaction sensiblement égale à 10?-10 ¿secondes, on peut mettre en application un dispositif de tomographie à émission de positrons PET du type temps-de-vol.
