A swing teaching aid is disclosed comprising a pendulum attached to a head attachment apparatus which can be worn on the head of an athlete. A pendulum guide defines an optimum range of movement of the pendulum in relation to the head attachment apparatus. The whole apparatus may be conveniently stored in the hollow weight of the pendulum. The apparatus allows for the training of an athlete in the weight transfer necessary for a proper swing in baseball, golf, tennis and so forth.
