The present invention provides methods of using growth hormone secretagogues, prodrugs thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable salts of said secretagogues and said prodrugs, for increasing exercise-stimulated growth hormone secretion in a patient. The present invention also provides methods of using such compounds, in conjunction with physical exercise, to increase the improvement in muscle mass or strength in a patient. More specifically, the present invention provides such methods wherein the growth hormone secretagogues are compounds of Formula I: (see formula I) a prodrug thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of said secretagogue or said prodrug.
