An engine debris guard (14) for preventing tyre propelled debris striking an aircraft engine (3), the debris guard comprising a guard bar (20) pivotably connected to an aircraft main landing gear (10) having at least one wheel and tyre assembly (42), the guard bar being arranged to be movable between a first position and a second position wherein in the first position the guard bar extends laterally across the wheel and tyre assembly to intersect the possible trajectories between the wheel and tyre assembly and an engine of the aircraft of any tyre propelled debris.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de protection de moteur contre les débris (14) permettant d'empêcher les débris propulsés par les pneus de venir heurter un moteur d'avion (3), le dispositif de protection contre les débris comprenant une barre de protection (20), reliée pivotante au train d'atterrissage principal d'un avion (10) possédant au moins un ensemble roue et pneumatique (42), ladite barre de protection étant agencée pour être mobile entre une première position et une seconde position. Dans la première position, la barre de protection s'étend latéralement en travers de l'ensemble roue et pneumatique de manière à croiser les trajectoires possibles, entre l'ensemble roue et pneumatique et un moteur de l'avion, empruntées par d'éventuels débris propulsés par les pneus.
