A method for measuring fluid flow characteristics in a multiphase fluid stream which passes through a venturi flow meter comprises: measuring liquid holdup (.alpha.1,I) at or near the inlet of the venturi; determining a slip factor (S) which expresses the difference between the gas and liquid velocity at a selected location in the venturi, which slip factor is based on the measured level of liquid holdup; and calculating the fluid flow characteristics on the basis of an algorithm which takes into account the measured liquid holdup (.alpha.1,I) at the inlet of the venturi and different slip factors at the inlet (S i) and in the throat of the venturi (S t).
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de mesurer les caractéristiques de débit fluidique dans un courant fluidique polyphasique qui passe à travers un débitmètre venturi. Ce procédé consiste à mesurer la retenue de liquide (.alpha.¿1,I?) à l'entrée du venturi ou à sa proximité; déterminer un facteur de glissement (S) qui exprime la différence entre la vitesse du gaz et celle du liquide à un endroit choisi dans le venturi, ce facteur de glissement se basant sur le niveau de retenue de liquide mesuré; et à calculer les caractéristiques de débit fluidique, sur la base d'un algorithme qui prend en compte la retenue de liquide mesurée (.alpha.¿1,I?) à l'entrée du venturi et différents facteurs de glissement à l'entrée (S¿i?) et dans la gorge du venturi (S¿t?).
