The Submersible Power Device called later the Device or SPD covers the surface of the swimming pool when in upper position but is completely immersed (close to the bottom) when in lower position. Its intention is to protect people (also animals and other objects) from accidentally falling into the swimming pool (upper position), and be a rescue device which can quickly bring a person from any water depth up to the surface of the pool if any dangerous situation arises. When in its lower position the device does not in any way restrain the readiness of the pool for its normal use. The device does not negatively affect safety of the pool.
