The invention concerns a novel method for producing discharge chambers, in particular for flat silent projectors. Said method consists in inserting a pumping rod (3) used for emptying and filling the discharge chamber into an opening (2) thereof, thereby obtaining in simple manner, through an intermediate component, optimal adjustment as well as optimal tightness between the inner angular walls of the opening (2) and the round outer part of the pumping rod (3).
