ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is disclosed for the preparation of plastics from polyesters containing (meth)acryloyl groups. The polyester has a defined composition and is heat cured in the presence of atmospheric air. Optionally, the polyester may be combined with copolymerizable monomers or other plastic precursors. The polyester is useful in forming plastic structures, e.g. shaped articles or sheet-like structures.
