The invention concerns a triboelectric air filter comprising polypropylene fibres (1) mixed with isophthalamide polymetaphenylene fibres (2). Preferably, the fibre (1) fibre (2) ratio ranges between 5:95 and 50:50, and more preferably between 10:90 and 30:70. Said air filter surface mass which is in the form of a nonwoven, preferably ranges between 15 and 500 g/m?2¿. Said filter is highly efficient and is designed to be used in all appliances wherein air filtering is required.

Ce filtre à air triboélectrique comprend un mélange de fibres (1) de polypropylène avec des fibres (2) de polymétaphénylène isophtalamide. De préférence, le rapport en poids des fibres (2) aux fibres (1) est compris entre 5:95 et 50:50, et préférentiellement encore entre 10:90 et 30:70. La masse surfacique de ce filtre qui présente avantageusement sous la forme d'un non-tissé, est de préférence comprise entre 15 et 500 g/m2. Ce filtre possède une très grande efficacité et est utilisable dans tous les appareils où une filtration de l'air est requise.
