The invention relates to bioerodible endoprostheses (10) and methods of making the endoprostheses. The endoprostheses can be configured to erode in a controlled and predetermined manner in the body. In one aspect, the invention features an endoprosthesis that includes a first metallic portion having a first erosion rate, and a second metallic portion having a second erosion rate different from the first erosion rate.
