The dual volume flushing system is structured to be mounted on either one of first and second models of commercially available toilets, both including a bowl and a water tank with a bottom valve seat shaft defining an annular seat and a conduit inlet. The flushing system comprises a dual flapper valve assembly for flushing water from the tank in the bowl through the conduit, and a connector device for connecting the flapper valve assembly with the conduit inlet. The connector device includes (a) an upper end for connection to the flapper valve assembly, (b) an inner tubular portion having a first outer diameter and a first lower end edge surface, and (c) an outer tubular portion having a second outer diameter larger than the first outer diameter, and a second lower end edge surface higher than the first lower end edge surface to define a lower section of inner tubular portion. The first outer diameter is selected to enable insertion of this lower section through the conduit inlet until the second lower end edge surface abuts the annular seat of the first model of commercially available toilet. The second outer diameter is selected to enable insertion of the outer tubular portion through the conduit inlet of the second model of commercially available toilet.
