A method and device for incising tissue from the gastrointestinal tract are described. The device is an electros.upsilon.rgical cutting device. The electrosurgical cutting device includes a catheter and multiple electrically conductive cutting wires extending through a lumen of the catheter. The wires are movable between a retracted position and an extended cutting position. The wires form a divergent configuration in the extended cutting position. The electrosurgical cutting device may be loaded into an endoscope, which is then maneuvered to the target tissue site to be incised. Manipulating a handle assembly extends the wires into a divergent cutting configuration. Electrical current is applied causing the wires to incise tissue from the target site.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant d'inciser un tissu du tractus gastro-intestinal. Le dispositif est un instrument de coupe électro-chirurgical. L'instrument de coupe électrochirurgical comprend un cathéter et de multiples fils métalliques de coupe électroconducteurs qui s'étendent dans la lumière du cathéter. Les fils métalliques sont mobiles entre une position repliée et une position déployée de coupe. Dans la position déployée de coupe, les fils métalliques forment une configuration divergente. L'instrument de coupe électrochirurgical peut être chargé dans un endoscope, lequel est ensuite mené jusqu'au site de tissu cible devant être incisé. La manipulation d'un ensemble poignée permet de déployer les fils métalliques dans une configuration de coupe divergente. L'application d'un courant électrique amènent les fils à inciser le tissu dans le site cible.
