The present invention relates to polymer blends of low Mooney hydrogenated nitrite butadiene rubber and a hydrogenated nitrite butadiene copolymer masterbatch with a heat resistant additive, wherein the heat resistance additive is selected from the group of a strong base, a salt of strong base and a weak acid, a salt of a weak acid, a polycarbodiimide, a carbodiimide and mixtures thereof. The present invention also relates to a process to prepare blends of low Mooney hydrogenated nitrite butadiene rubber and hydrogenated nitrite butadiene copolymer masterbatch with a heat resistant additive, wherein the heat resistance additive is selected from the group of a strong base, a salt of strong base and a weak acid, a salt of a weak acid, a polycarbodiimide, a carbodiimide and mixtures thereof.
