A drill string includes a plurality of tubular members each having a connection with a pin connector and a box connector on adjacent tubular members. The pin connector has an external thread with negative load flanks (352) and positive stab flanks (340), adapted for threadingly engaging an internal thread second threads with negative load flanks and positive stab flanks on the box connector of the adjacent tubular member. The positive stab flanks have corner radiuses (370, 374) and the negative load flanks have radiuses forming a S-shape. The pin connector has an outer groove (66) for receiving a protuberance (86) on the terminal end of the box member forming locking shoulders. The protuberance and groove have contoured surfaces providing large metal-to-metal contact for preventing the contoured surfaces from sliding during over-torquing and cyclic bending of the drill string. The negative load flanks and locking shoulders lock the connection together. The negative load flanks absorbing the tension and the locking shoulders absorbing the compression on the connection.
L'invention concerne un train de forage comportant une pluralité d'éléments tubulaires, chacun étant raccordé à un élément tubulaire adjacent par l'intermédiaire d'un connecteur à broche et d'un connecteur de boîte. Le connecteur à broche présente un filetage mâle avec des flancs de charge négatifs (352) et des flancs de guidage positifs (340), adapté à un filetage femelle présentant des flancs de charge négatifs et des flancs de guidage positifs sur le connecteur de boîte d'un membre tubulaire adjacent. Les flancs de guidage positifs ont des rayons (370, 374) en forme de pointe et les flancs de charge négatifs ont des rayons en forme de S. Le connecteur à broche comporte une encoche extérieure (66) destinée à recevoir une protubérance (86) de l'extrémité terminale de l'élément de boîte, formant des butées de verrouillage. La protubérance et l'encoche présentent des surfaces profilées permettant une large zone de contact métal sur métal afin d'éviter tout glissement des zones profilées en cas de surcouple, et la flexion cyclique du train de forage. Les flancs de charge négatifs et les butées de verrouillage permettent de verrouiller le raccord, les flans de charge négatifs absorbant la tension, et les butées de verrouillage absorbant la compression sur le raccord.
