An inflatable sport ball, such as a basketball, a football, a soccer ball, a volleyball or a playground ball is provided with a self-contained inflation mechanism, or multiple self-contained inflation mechanisms, for inflating or adding pressure to the ball. The mechanism is a pump which is positioned and retained inside of the ball and which is operable from outside of the ball to pump ambient air into the ball. The pump is a dual action pump allowing air to be added to the ball on both a forward stroke and a reverse stroke.
L'invention concerne un ballon de sport gonflable, tel qu'un ballon de basket, une ballon de football, un ballon de volley ou un ballon de jeu, doté d'un ou plusieurs mécanismes de gonflage autonomes, conçus pour ajouter de la pression dans le ballon. Ledit mécanisme se compose d'une pompe positionnée et maintenue à l'intérieur du ballon et pouvant être actionnée depuis l'extérieur du ballon, de sorte que l'air ambiant soit envoyé par pompage dans ce dernier. Cette pompe est une pompe à double action permettant d'ajouter de l'air dans le ballon lors de la course aller et de la course retour.
