The present invention relates to a method for establishing a diagnosis if an individual has suffered from or a prognosis if an individual is at risk of suffering from a coronary heart event, which method comprises - determining the concentration of sCD40L in a body fluid of the individual; - determining the concentration of a proximal inflammatory marker, preferably PAPP-A or Lp- PLA2 to - comparing the values obtained with reference values; and - establishing the diagnosis or the prognosis in respect to the cardiovascular event. The combination according to the invention can be used with further markers selected from further inflammatory markers, anti-inflammatory markers and/or neurohumoral markers.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'établir un diagnostic ou un pronostic pour un individu ayant souffert ou présentant un risque de souffrir d'un événement coronarien. Ce procédé consiste : à déterminer la concentration en sCD40L dans un liquide biologique de l'individu ; à déterminer la concentration en un marqueur inflammatoire de proximité, de préférence PAPP-A ou Lp-PLA2 ; à comparer les valeurs obtenues à des valeurs de référence ; et à établir le diagnostic ou le pronostic par rapport à l'événement cardio-vasculaire. La combinaison de l'invention peut être utilisée avec d'autres marqueurs sélectionnés parmi d'autres marqueurs inflammatoires, des marqueurs anti-inflammatoires et/ou des marqueurs neurohormonaux.
