The invention concerns a method for determining the state of preservation of a wooden support and establishing a diagnosis, in order to find out whether the wooden support is in a state which is suitable for use, in a state requiring a maintenance operation or in a state requiring its elimination. Said method consists in: measuring the hardness of the wooden support, measuring the hygroscopy of the wooden support, calculating a resulting safety residual stress, based on the measured hardness and the measured hygroscopy, comparing the value of the stress with an observed average safety residual stress, and establishing the diagnosis based on the comparison. The method further includes steps which consist in: determining the wood essence of the wooden support, determining the treatment previously applied to the wooden support, and calculating the resulting safety residual stress, based on the wood essence and the treatment previously applied to the wooden support.
Un procédé pour déterminer l'état de conservation d'un support en bois et établir un diagnostic, afin de savoir si le support en bois est dans un état dans lequel il s'avère convenable pour une utilisation, dans un état dans lequel il doit subir une opération de maintenance ou dans un état dans lequel il doit être éliminé, consiste à mesurer la dureté du support en bois, à mesurer l'hygroscopie du support en bois, à calculer une contrainte résiduelle de sécurité résultante, en fonction de la dureté mesurée et de l'hygroscopie mesurée, à comparer la valeur de la contrainte avec une valeur de contrainte résiduelle de sécurité moyenne observée, et à établir le diagnostic en fonction de la comparaison. Le procédé comprend en outre les étapes consistant à déterminer l' essence du bois du support en bois, à déterminer le traitement appliqué au préalable au support en bois, et à calculer la contrainte résiduelle de sécurité résultante, en fonction de l' essence du bois et du traitement appliqué au préalable au support en bois.
