Abstract of the Disclosure A tubeless pneumatic vehicle tire having re- sistance to air permeability in the absence of an in- nerliner comprises a tread, one or more reinforcing belts, sidewalls, one or more body plies and beads; wherein the rubber coating of the innermost body ply is formed from a rubber composition comprising from about 10 to about 60 parts by weight of natural rubber; from about 20 to about 30 parts by weight of halogenated butyl rubber; from about 20 to about 30 parts by weight of epichlorohydrin rubber; and from about 5 to about 50 parts by weight of a metal salt-containing material selected from the group consisting of a metal salt of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and a graft copolymer comprising polymer or copolymer backbone having pendently grafted thereto a polymerized metal salt of an unsaturated carboxylic acid.
