This invention relates to the field of therapy and diagnostic methods for ulcerative colitis. Specifically, the method comprises administering a compound or recombinant protein that inhibits interaction between CEP and human tropomyosin. Also included in the invention are methods to screen for drugs useful in treating ulcerative colitis and diagnostic methods for detecting diseases associated with an autoantigen response to hTM in affected tissue.
Cette invention concerne des méthodes thérapeutiques et diagnostiques s'appliquant à la colite ulcéreuse. Plus particulièrement, ces méthodes consistent à administrer un composé ou une protéine recombinante qui inhibe l'interaction de la CEP et de la tropomyosine humaine. L'invention concerne en outre des méthodes de criblage de médicaments utiles pour le traitement de la colite ulcéreuse, et des méthodes diagnostiques permettant de dépister des affections associées à une réaction autoantigène à la tropomyosine humaine dans un tissu atteint.
