Described is a display for a medical injector in which the injection dose can be pre-selected by turning a control knob and subsequently injected by moving the knob longitudinally. Resting against the control knob in the injector are switching means, which actuate switches whose positions are transmitted to a circuit board. By virtue of the organization of the circuit board, which conveniently includes a processor, values such as the injection dose selected, the total dose already injected, etc., plus operating-status signals are output to a display unit.
