Chaque bande circonférentielle d'indice (i) est pourvue d'unepluralité d'incisions (71) de faible largeur dans la direction transversale. Surchaque bande circonférentielle d'indice (i) on définit un taux d'entaillement circonférentiel qui permet de réduire la quantité d'énergie dissipée par déformation lors du roulage du pneumatique (1).
