Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate network management and optimization. As described herein, a network and a device communicating with the network can exchange network management information, thereby supporting a Self Organized Network (SON) architecture for improved network management and optimization performance. A Non-Access Stratum (NAS) layer protocol and/or an Internet Protocol (IP) application, in combination with a set of associated network management messages, can be utilized to exchange network management information between a device and a network. As further described herein, various procedures can be utilized to install a SON policy to a device in order to define device behavior for operations such as collecting and reporting information related to network management. Additionally, a set of standardized events can be defined, based on which a device can detect the occurrence of an event and report the occurrence to an associated network.
La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des méthodologies qui facilitent la gestion et l'optimisation des réseaux. L'invention permet à un réseau et un dispositif communiquant avec le réseau d'échanger des informations de gestion de réseau, ce qui autorise l'utilisation d'une architecture de réseau auto-organisé ou SON (Self Organized Network) concourant à une meilleure exécution de la gestion et de l'optimisation du réseau. Pour échanger l'information de gestion de réseau entre un terminal et un réseau, on peut utiliser un protocole en couche de type NAS (Non-Access Stratum) et/ou une application pour protocole IP que l'on combine à un ensemble de messages de gestion de réseau associés. L'invention concerne également diverses procédures permettant d'installer la politique SON dans un terminal de façon à définir le comportement du terminal pour des opérations telles que le recueil d'information se rapportant à la gestion de réseau, ou la production de comptes rendus présentant ces informations. L'invention permet en outre de définir un ensemble d'événements normalisés sur la base desquelles un terminal sera capable de détecter la survenue d'un événement et de faire signaler cet événement à un réseau associé.
