A door device for a small-sized vehicle can provide a sufficient space for a vehicle occupant. An openable and closable door (70) is mounted to a side face of a vehicle body so as to cover an opening. A projection (75) which enters an access step (62) when the door (70) is closed is provided on the inner side the door (70) at the lower part thereof.
