An article for absorbing body fluid comprised of a layer of absorbent material and a liquid-impermeable backsheet. The backsheet is composed of a stretched polyolefin plastic containing 30 to 80% by weight of embedded inorganic filler particles based on the weight of the backsheet. The backsheet has at least one roughened portion that includes a large number of air-permeable fine pores and a large number of fine projections formed by rising up of the filler particles. The remainder of the backsheet is composed of a relatively smooth, thermo-embossed, surface which is substantially free of the fine projections and has a higher transparency than the at least one roughened portion.
Article pour absorber un fluide corporel comprenant une couche de matériau absorbant et une feuille support étanche aux liquides. La feuille support est constituée d'un plastique polyoléfinique étiré contenant de 30 à 80 % en poids, selon la densité de la feuille support, de particules de charge inorganiques noyées dans la masse. La feuille support a au moins une partie à surface rude comportant un grand nombre de minuscules pores perméables à l'air et un grand nombre de fines saillies formées par soulèvement des particules de charge. Le reste de la feuille support présente une surface relativement douce, thermogaufrée, qui est substantiellement libre de fines saillies et a une plus grande transparence que la ou les parties à surface rude.
