Fractionable, reactor blend polypropylenes, directly obtainable from the polymerization reaction of propylene, having: (a) content of isotactic pentads (mmmm) comprised between 25 and 85 %; (b) ratio Mw/Mn < 5; containing from 10 to 70 % by weight of a fraction soluble in boiling diethyl ether, said fraction having a content of isotactic pentads (mmmm) comprised between 5 and 25 %, and from 30 to 90 % by weight of a boiling n-heptane-insoluble fraction, soluble in xylene at 135 ~C, said fraction having a content of isotactic pentads (mmmm) comprised between 50 and 99 %, are disclosed. These polymers are suitable as thermoplastic-elastomeric materials. A process for the preparation of these polymers and a process for the preparation of 2-aryl- substituted indenyl metallocene ligands is also disclosed.

La présente invention concerne des polypropylènes fractionnables issus d'un mélange en réacteur, résultant directement de la réaction de polymérisation du propylène. Ces polypropylènes (a) contiennent entre 25 % et 85 % de pentades isotactiques (mmmm) et (b) ont le rapport M¿w?/M¿n? inférieur à 5. En outre, 10 % à 70 % de ces polypropylènes en proportion pondérale constituent une première fraction soluble dans l'éther diéthylique bouillant, les 30 % à 90 % restant constituant une seconde fraction insoluble dans le n-heptane bouillant, mais soluble dans le xylène à 135 ~C. La première fraction présente une teneur en pentades isotactiques (mmmm) allant de 5 % à 25 %, alors que la seconde fraction présente une teneur en pentades isotactiques (mmmm) allant de 50 % à 99 %. Ces polymères s'utilisent avantageusement comme matériaux élastomères thermoplastiques. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de ces polymères ainsi qu'un procédé de préparation de ligands de métallocènes à base d'indényle à substitution 2-aryle.
