The present invention relates to a flame resistant polyamide resin compositions for moulded articles and articles formed therefrom, comprising aromatic polyamide with phosphinate and/or diphosphinate flame retardant and, optionally, glass fibers. Further provided are articles for use in a variety of applications including electrical and electronic parts requiring electrical insulation.

La présente invention concerne des compositions ignifuges de résines polyamides pour des articles moulés et des articles formés à partir de ces compositions. Les compositions décrites dans cette invention contiennent un polyamide aromatique conjointement avec un ignifugeant à base de phosphinate et/ou de diphosphinate et, éventuellement, des fibres de verre. Cette invention concerne également des articles pouvant être utilisés dans une large gamme d'applications parmi lesquelles des éléments électroniques et électriques nécessitant une isolation électrique.
